Avril est 'Poetry month' et le 24 avril est 'Shakespeare's 
Birthday' . Dans ce munéro, découvrez aussi un site d'histoires à lire et 
écouter, deux sites pour apprendre à manipuler la monnaie, et divers sites 
de resources dont le logiciel en ligne KIKO qui vous permet de créer des 
leçons, et où vous retrouverez notre collègue Phil Benz.

Shakespeare's birthday (NEH Outlook, April 2001)

EDSITEment, NEH's "Best of the Humanities on the Web" resource for
teachers ( http://edsitement.neh.gov ), offers four useful new features. For
April, "This Month's Feature" celebrates Shakespeare's birthday with an
essay about the bard and links to EDSITEment's Shakespeare materials.
"Calendar" recognizes National Poetry Month with links to EDSITEment's
poetry materials and lesson plans. "NEH Spotlight" highlights other
outstanding NEH-funded websites. "Bulletin Board" announces NEH funding and
professional development opportunities for teachers and schools, as well as
professional training through the MarcoPolo partnership in which EDSITEment
participates. MarcoPolo provides teacher training in 47 states in the
classroom use of Internet content.

at 30 Days of Poetry. Students have a poetry writing assignment each of
the 30 days, or teachers can assign several types of poems for students
to experience. Research Using Technology has an activity where students
research a word using several sources, then write short essays about
what they discovered. Check out this site for other creative ideas that
English and writing teachers can incorporate into their curriculum.

then calculate total cost, money back,etc. and take turns
playing cashier.

UMUC-Bell Atlantic Virtual Resource Site for Teaching with Technology (The
Scout Report April 13)

A collaborative project of the Center for the Virtual University and
the Center for Teaching and Learning at the University of Maryland
University College, this site aims to help teachers develop good
practice in adopting technology in their courses. The site consists
of two modules. The first focuses on using Web-based technologies to
design online courses and links to over 40 examples of Web-enabled
assignments from a variety of disciplines. Each is briefly described,
with notes on the Web-based technologies employed. The second module
concerns delivery in online courses, offering six interviews (video,
audio, and transcript) "on significant dimensions of online teaching,
with particular emphasis on managing interaction." Each interview
