Ophrys aveyronensis

Common names: Ophrys de l'Aveyron, Aveyron-Ragwurz

 
The beautiful Ophrys aveyronensis shows large and very coloured flowers with pink sepals bearing one to three green stripes. Petals are particularly wide, pink to red with undulating edges often greenish-yellow.

The practically oval lip bears a macule with varying drawings, often complicated, with a large hairy margin and a quite invisible appendix.

Flowering spends from May to June. This species is protected on the whole French territory.

     
   
     

The lips of these specimens show no drawings.
