William de Leyburn of Leyburn
The detail is not clear, but the seal shows six lioncels rampant. The shield is flanked by two wyvern. These beasts appear to be merely decorative in many of the seals, and should not be considered as examples of badges.
The son of Roger, who was the governor of Carlisle.
Served with the king's forces against the Welsh, 1277-1282.
He was captain of the fleet for the expedition to Gascony, and served in the Flanders campaign of 1299-1300. Was at Caerlaverlock in 1300.
