Chamorchis alpina is a mountain plant very difficult to spot as it is sober and very small (5 to 10cm).

Leaves are organized into rosette and elongated, as high as the floral stem. Flowers are small, perianth is helmet-shaped and yellowish-green with a more yellow lip hardly trilobate.

Chamorchis alpina exclusively grows in the Alps from 1600 to 2700m, on low-growing grass and in full light. Flowering from July to August.
