Gymnadenia
conopsea is a slender plant with flowers producing a very pleasant fragrance.
The small flowers lilac-like coloured, show a very long, thin and sickle-shaped characteristic spur. In mountains, this orchid can be found in large number forming very beautiful beds that can be localized from far due to their intense fragrance!
Blooming from May to August.
It also exists a resembling species called G. densiflora differing from G. conopsea by a high size, large leaves and spike.
