Dactylorhiza angustata is also an alpine plant belonging to the D. majalis group.

It differs by a rather non compressible and often angular stem and less wide and longer leaves. Flowers are rather large and show a short spur located under the ovary.

Its blooming period is rather spread from May to August following the altitude.
