Neotinea maculata is a southern, tiny and discreet plant with a spike containing numerous small, pale pink and slighly opened flowers. Leaves are generally spotted. The hood is sharp and streaked with green, the three-lobed lip is dotted with red. The spur is extremely small.

Flowering season from March to May.
