Epipactis phyllanthes is a rather robust plant, globally yellowish-green coloured, having a peculiar aspect with hanging flowers, rather short and unfolded leaves.
The spike is rather long with often few flowers that are autogamous, perianth is bright green and the pedicel at the ovary base is yellowish-green. Hypochile is glossy bright green and epichile is whittish and generally folded downwards.
Epipactis phyllanthes is a rare species in France, localised on the atlantic coast but not in Brittany. This plant likes shadowy areas on sandy soils, it blooms from end of May to July.
