The version 3

This version is compatible with the previous ones. Your backup units are directly compatibles with this new version.

This version is faster to detect which files need to be updates. Il allows a better processing of the files which have modified in the backup unit: the user can decide if these files can be lost or should be restored at their original place in the computer.

Usability: better display of the backup process and error messages.

32-bit and 64-bit versions (automatic selection during the installation).

Features

• Speed: 1 GB/min for the data to be copied, and 15 GB/min for updating (with a USB HDD).
• The fist backup copies all the files and can take a lot of time. Next time, only the files which have been modified are copied to the backup unit; that is much faster!
• The data on the backup unit can be directly used (no exotic format or compression),
• The configuration is saved on each backup unit and not on the system to backup.
• The previously saved file are kept in the backup unit and provide a second chance to recover them.
• Easily adapt to various backup configurations.
• PUKABO support french and english; other language are possible by changing the french dictionnary pukabo.msg provided with the french version.
• It is possible to backup several computers on the same backup unit (version PRO).

• 3.2 (mai 2024) Only relative file names are displayed (without the path of the current backup or destination folders).
  The remove command (remove.cmd) now runs in any folder.
• (février 2020) The installation of PUKABO dans C:\Program Files does not allow to save the configuration (position, size and colors). The new installation resolve this problem (default install is now in C:\Users\{user}\AppData\Local).
  The install folder now has an uninstall script. A double-clic on the file supprimer.cmd will remove the install folder and the program shortcuts if any.
  The program itselt is unchanged.

  Added message during the search of the files which need to be saved.
