Guided visit

Betty Savastano, host of the Poseidon Gallery,

showed her oil paintings in the gallery, a very diverse production ranging from "new manner" still lives, realistic representation of everyday objects, to dreamy ballerinas or Venise Carnavale, an infinite source of inspiration, and her generous bouquets.

Betty Savastano was born in Marseille and teaches dancing. Learning by herself, her work shows an amazing technique and a luxurious imagination. The classical still life, such a passé style, is here treated in a remarkable manner, be it through her art of lighting, her precision in details, the truth of the subjects, and in her most puzzling creations, shoes or otherusual objects, a mixture of precision and an elliptic modernity.

We noticed some very original stylized paintings with a focus on transparency and superposition..

"La Cote des Arts" 1995

Betty Savastano

Presents with the love of life which is hers, the images that her sensibility and her "coups de coeurs" have enlightened.

Resoluteley self-made, she refines her technique and creativity thanks to her personal research work.

She creates luminous and moving pieces where the spontaneity of gesture is in perfect harmony with the structure of her composition.

Of a mainly hyperrealistic trend, the artist possesses the particularity of producing paintings with cubist connotations and enchanting light reflects.

She produces portraits, tender nudes and expressive animal portraits.
