Installation
OF Umbrella The target of the
program Umbrella is defined in the appendix 8 of
the book There are two versions of Umbrella : the
version « with memory » and the version « without memory ».
The second, not so performing as the first, is intended for people who do not
own the software « access ». For more precision report you to the
guidebook of Umbrella, which can be found in the appendix
9 of the book. Note please : the version « execute »
of Umbrella was created by using the language Visual Basic 6 in a surrounding
"windows 98". To run it in a surrounding "windows XP" or
posterior, you must install Visual Basic 6

You find the executable umbrella.exe, the data base files bd2.mdb and
bd2.ldb, and the file para3.ico with the icon shaped in umbrella. You can then create a
short cut by using the icon para3.ico. By clicking on this icon,
or directly on umbrella.exe, you launch the program. A window shows off, with
5 combo - boxes and the captions
"substation A", " substation B", " substation
C", "protection", "number". To make operate this
program, you must refer to the guidebook placed in appendix
9 of the book. |

If this setting program interessed you, and if you wish to own sur an
implement to set the protective relays of your network, I propose you, from
specifications which give me the relays you use and the way your network is
managed, write for you a personalized program. In that case you have also to
give me the guidebooks of manufacturers.
