I'm testing aluminum for the nut. If I don't like it, I will make another one out of a beef femur.

It's been almost two years that this guitar has been waiting to be finished. Sometimes, the hardships of life take all your energy.
So I had left it at the sanding stage. A few months ago, I restarted where I had left... Sanding and finishing. And then I sanded a little too much, through the varnish. That just killed the little reviving flame in me. So the guitar went back on its hook and stayed there for another winter.

Finally, with spring and sunny days coming back, I got back at it.
So I re-sanded it and applied the first layer of finish. The next day, I'm going for the second layer when I discover that the fisrt layer is just plain beautiful, super smooth and shiny. So now I'm gonna let it dry and harden. Next step: putting it all together.

So after a good drying and the final put-together, I've got this :



It needs some fine tuning. But I'll let it stabilize a bit before that.
