The hippopotamus pond near (80 kms) Bobo-Dioulasso. The place is hardly accessible, though it is on most travel guides. After a ride on a road that has never been asphalted, you'll find a shady, almost cool, place. It's a small lake and local rangers will propose a ride on an old (but metal) boat. It's quite impressive, especially if you're too closde of a mother... (image jpeg 154K). |
