Beroe's Friends

This rim is a 12" block rim, ebony veneered, with a rosewood tonering.

The idea was to evoke the darkness of the abyss and its and mysterious inhabitants. I am always filled with wonder at these animals and Beroe is only one of them (on the 9th fret). They are millions, most of them still unknown, down in the deepness of the oceans. Knowledge and dream can sometime be so close of us and so difficult to reach...

When talking about the sound of banjos some may speak of "under water sound", that could maybe apply to this one.                                        .
