Bopick Banjo
#16 2003
This was a 12in simple english banjo I bought in Lyon/France. The fingerboard was bowed and not very interesting, so I took the opportunity to make it straight, playable and with a new appearance. The fingerboard is rosewood, Inlays are bone. I initially made it into a fretless, but a few years after I made it into a regular fretted banjo. Now it is fretted. (regarless of the photos which were made when it was fretless)
With its synthetic gut strings (Savarez Alliance KF strings) and a calfskin head it has a very interesting, deep and dry sound.
