The Candies'
Stroll
#33 2010
The neck for that banjo was made out of a large piece of mahogany left over in the street of Paris (strange what you can find in the streets...) on a simple clad rim found on Ebay. The idea was to use as many different colors as possible out of my pearls and other material, to make simple shapes out of them and to have them stroll all over the neck. I wanted to make a simple, joyful and quickly made banjo after the two years I've spent on the much more elaborate "Haeckel's Nightmare" banjo (#34 on this site).
It also arrived just in time
to celebrate the return of Spring
and the warm days.
