Windsor Premier
Model 3
This is the top of the
line of Windsor banjos. The neck was
very curved and unusable when I
bought it, so I had to do a
new fingerboard with identical
inlays and a Carbon rod inside the
neck. And I also revarnished the
neck with true oil.
It has a clad 11 13/16 rim with a
new Renaissance head.
The sound is loud and very nice with much sustain (to my ears). It is much better using a large rag inside the rim, as often...
It is very confortable to play and maybe more suitable for melodic clawhammer as it is fretted all the way down and sounds nice and loud all along the neck.
A very good and reliable banjo!
