This site currently features about 180 pictures from my grandfather Albert LOPATA's photo album, spanning 3 continents where the LOPATAs went to live since the 1920', and 4 decades starting in 1921.

Additional sections include extra pictures from more recent times, and a few shots of myself (meet me!)

The original prints have been scanned at 300 or 600 dpi depending on size, then touched up for defects and contrast, and resized at 800 x 600 pixels to display nicely on your computer screen  (image resolution may be a bit low for quality reprints though).

The site now also includes a LOPATA family tree which I update regularly.

I hope this family project will promote new ties among our worldwide cousins, and that you will enjoy this sometimes eerie window into our common past. Your comments and suggestions are warmly welcome.
