Video Games
In this Webquest, I want to show you that violent games are not responsible for the violent behaviour of some boys or girls. Some psychologists say that young people are influenced by violent games and say that they should be forbidden. But some other psychologists say that violent games can allow young people to let of the steam off, and thus prevent violence . I agree with them. If a boy or a girl plays a violent game and if they then become violent it's not always the video game's fault. I think young people who are violent have heavy personal problems to start with, and their violence can be triggered by anything. I also explain to you what a realistic game is and what we can do or not do in it.
Those sites explain what a MOD is and the order of Counter-Strike. We can play a
terrorist or a counter-striker. I think it's a great idea to show what counter-terrorists
do in action. We learn that it's a dangerous job!

We have many objectives for terrorists : place a bomb, escape from a jail, kill the
president or take hostages. And we have also many objectives for counter-strikers : defuse
the bomb, keep the terrorists in jail, protect the president or rescue hostages.
This site talks about Action Half-life another MOD from Half-Life in which damages are
realistic and we lose blood when we take a bullet. We can't jump from a building because
if we do that, we will die.

This game may well be the best quake-like game of the year. It's very realistic as far as
damages are concerned. The noises you make can warn the ennemies of your presence, so they
will come towards yyou( 2/3 of the games do that now). If you shoot somebody in the arm,
the leg or in the head, you don't do the same damages. I think it's a great innovation.
Computers can tell the difference between a leg or a head. Programmers who have done that
must be very good!
