Paragraph Poweful Active Learning (Parapal)
----------------------------
http://www.parapal-online.co.uk/
Charlie Williams has built this site, full of interactive exercises for
upper intermediate and advanced students. Discover the cloze exercises, the
audio files and many other exercises.
This Sunday 9 November at 21 hours GMT on Tapped In, Charlie Williams will
present Parapal (www.parapal-online.co.uk), a suite of interactive language
learning exercises. He explains: "The site, which is publicly accessible,
is mainly concerned with academic style writing and uses
grammar and structure exercises that are similar to those often used in EFL
coursebooks. Although the exercise styles are fairly common I have tried to
be creative in the design of them. I would also like to discuss, and get
opinions on, the effectiveness (or not) of such exercises in relation to
current teaching practice."

States and explorers quests (fromCRC Digest #2003-176)
----------------------------
Jill Dembsky from Freehold, N.J. created several web-based activities to
use in my elementary computer lab. You will find there a very well built
webquest about US States, quite suited for beginner:
State Facts: http://www.cybercomm.net/~teach/states/
with a state puzzle,
and an activity to compare explorers:

http://science.howstuffworks.com/light-stick.htm
As Halloween approaches, light sticks are flying off the shelves. They make
really great (and spooky) trick-or-treating companions for those of us who
go candy-seeking after dark. Have
you ever wondered why these cool light sources glow? What's happening when
you crack one?
[ for those who like scientific stuff.]

Nouveau site Educ-Eval
----------------------
www.educ-eval.education.fr
qui en sont faites au niveau national ;
des compétences des élèves ;
des opérations de ce type mais plus anciennes ;
