Psychology of Cyberspace (from Curt Davis on learn-net@onelist.com)
----------------------------
The Psychology of Cyberspace is an online hypertext book created to explore
the psychological dimensions of environments created by computers and
online networks. It is intended as an evolving conceptual framework for understanding the various
psychological components of cyberspace and how people react to and behave within it.
The online book has six sections. The first section is an exploration of
what makes cyberspace "psychological." The next three sections deal with
the individual's reaction to cyberspace. Section five is a discussion of
the research methods used and  finally, section six is the historical origin of the hypertext book.

Heroes2000 Competition (from its-online through Olivier Colas)

HEROES2000 is a competition being organised by iT's Magazine and Richmond
Publishing. It's open to students (and their teachers) at all levels
anywhere in the world. Take part in HEROES2000 and you could win an iMac
computer (we've got 3 to give away) or one of our other prizes.
In the HEROES2000 competition all you have to do is get your students to
send us a piece of work related to the theme of HEROES that we can include
in a special HEROES2000 issue of iT's Magazine. They can send us something
they've written, a picture, a photograph, a puzzle, a comic strip . . . .
anything that we can print in the magazine or include at the magazine's
Internet site. We will make a selection from all the entries and include
them in the HEROES2000 magazine. The name of every student whose work
appears in the magazine will enter into a prize draw. Two students will win
iMac computers. Five runners-up will win Crisol book tokens. And one teacher
will also win an iMac computer.
You'll find information about the competition in the latest issue of iT's
Magazine as well as some ideas of the kind of work students can submit. If
