TARANTULAS

Tarantulas are very popular. They mean facination or phobia to many people.There are 800 species of tarantulas. Their family is   "THERAPHOSIDE". Their native area and climate are  arid,   subtropical, tropical.

Tarantulas aren't dangerous, if you don't disturb them, but their venom is toxic (their bites can be fatal).
Tarantulas are wild animals and they need to be treated with  respect.
They are very hairy and they have big abdomen. They are brown and they have lot of eyes and paws.

The Mexican Redknee is a "classic" tarantula.

Tarantulas are very easy to keep in the house, as long as the natural   habit of the spiders are taken into account. A large enclosure  isn't neccessary, but, an arboreal species will need a tall cage and a burrowing type will need appropriate substance or  hiding places. Generaly, spiders should be housed one to a cage as they aren't sociable.

Arboreal tarantulas need a tall cage with branches, twings or some other structure on which the spider can build its
web. You don't need to clean the cage frequently.
