These two genus belong to the "Orchidinae" sub-tribe, therefore they are similar to Orchis genus that belongs to the same sub-tribe.

Anacamptis (L.C.M. Richard 1817) counts 13 species and subspecies in France of which 12 are represented in this website.

Himantoglossum (W.D.J. Koch 1837), includes two species on the French territory H. hircinum and H. robertianum.
