We went to Kamchatka during the summer 2004 and spent a happy month up there. Our initial idea was to do some  hiking, north of Petropavlosk.

We finally walked a few hundreds of kilometer, mostly without meeting anybody. We crossed a river by swimming, climbed on volcanoes, fished for salmons, bathed in hot springs and met many bears. We also got wet and very hungry, lost in the fog, sometimes frightened or exhausted. In the middle of nowhere, we spent a couple of unforgettable days in a secret blue house and hitch-hiked a MI8.
