Note: This file covers changes
made during a period of approximately 12 months. Earlier changes are
recorded in the Log
File.
3-Mar-10: The collection
of Lovelocks from the 1851 Census
Returns for Surrey has been updated by Graham Lovelock. The
collection now contains 91 Lovelocks and 5 Lovlocks, whereas the previous version, provided by
Robert Sterry, included only 57 Lovelocks. However, a link to the
previous version has been preserved, since it contains some useful
information on registration districts for Surrey. Both files are linked
to page Surrey
Lovelock Records.
2-Mar-10: As a result of
examining some of the 1911 Census data, a small addition was made by
Graham Lovelock to the
gedcom
file for the Lieflock
Line on the PhpGedView site as follows:
Added children Annie Beatrice, Leonard William James and Gladys
A (I3865 - I3867) to the family of William
and
Alice, with details of their births, and of the deaths of
Leonard and Gladys.
Added a wife Caroline
Mary

Where they are available, GRO references have been added. The
supporting 1911 Census entry has been included.
16-Feb-10: The Shipton Moyne (Glos) and
Derbyshire descendant tree has been updated to reflect the
changes made on the
PhpGedView site since the time it was last updated on 10-Jul-06. See
the What's New item for 1-Dec-09 for
details of
the changes.
The table on the Gloucestershire Lovelock Trees
page
has been updated accordingly.
The updated gedcom file, which corresponds to that on the PhpGedView

files
page.

Sarah, with details of their births, and of the deaths of Agnes
Ellen
and Ella Blanche.
GRO references have of course been added wherever available, and a
number of supporting Census entries have been included.
2-Feb-10: Added two
fragments to the Work
in
Progress page, both provided by Graham Lovelock:
A Froyle,
Hants, tree
with progenitor James Lovelock, b Long Sutton, Hants, marr. Harriet
Ingasfield at Froyle 21 Jul 1834.
The tree currently contains 72 individuals, including 29 Lovelocks.
There is a gedcom file for this tree, which can be perused on the
PhpGedView site, by selecting the Froyle
Tree from the Welcome menu. The gedcom file can also be downloaded
from the gedcom
files page.
A Tormarton
with
West Littleton (Gloucestershire) fragment
The fragment is based on the family of John and Sarah Lovelock, who
baptised 6 children at St Mary Magdalen, Tormarton
with West Littleton,
Gloucestershire, between 1765 and 1777. The fragment is possibly linked to the Bitton fragment
(also on the Work in Progress page) via Isaac Lovelock, indicated by
red highlighting.
A collection
of relevant source
records is also provided.
The tree currently contains 25 individuals, including 17 Lovelocks.
1-Feb-10: The gedcom
file for the Wallingford
(Berks)
Line on the PhpGedView site was updated by
Graham Lovelock as follows:
Amended the name of Arthur and Rhoda’s son to Arthur
Robert (I851)
and added details of his birth and death.
Added birth details for Letitia (I20), Caroline (I936), Ann
(I698),
Ellen (I935), and John H(urst) Baylis (I937), the children of George
Baylis
and
Sarah
Lovelock.
Added death details to Sarah
Lovelock (I15), previously stated to
have died ‘between 1864 and 1881’, despite the fact that the 1881
Census entry which included her was recorded in the gedcom file.
Added a wife Christine
Mary
Wright (I139) to Edgar
Harold, with
details of their marriage and of her birth and death. [One of the
possible 24 marriages of a Lovelock to a Wright!]
Added children Winifred M, Edward George and Albert Kenneth
(I3492 –
I3494) to the family of Arthur
Fred
Lovelock
and
Minnie
Kate
Chapman, with details of their births and deaths.

29-Dec-09:
Some
of
the

of

by

Maud
Sheridan (I3272) to explain the results of recent research by Robin
Lovelock.

Sheppard (I3842) from Mary Annie Unknown, and added details of
her death.

7-Dec-09:
Following
the
production
of
the
collection
of
1881
Census
Returns for London, and a subsequent discussion between
Graham Lovelock and James Loveluck, a number of additions were made by
Graham to the Main
St
Pancras
tree on the PhpGedView site, as follows:
A large number of additional records have been included in the London
collection. Many of these were moved from the Middlesex collection in
order to conform to the actual assignments of registration districts
and sub-districts to counties for the 1881 census, as described in the
note on Boundary
Changes
for
London
and
Surrounding
Counties.
These collections are now believed to be complete, although some
Lovelock records may have been missed, for example due to the fact that
they were recorded with incorrect spellings of the name.
Added a comment to a Note in the entry for William
Arthur
Lovelock (I10) which states that he was married to Eva Hulance in
1881,
when the evidence clearly shows that they were married in 1888.
GRO references are incorporated, and several Census entries have been
included.
4-Nov-09:

file
for

GRO references have of course been added where relevant, and a couple
of supporting Census entries included.

Changes
were
made
to
the
Kingsclere
tree on the PhpGedView web site, following the recent
changes (16-Jun-09) concerning William
Lovelock, the
musician who married Kezia Smith. The following have been done:
Added children Freda May (I687), Cyril John (I688),
Sidney
George (I689), and another son (I690) to the family of Arthur and Kate.
GRO references have been included where appropriate and a couple of
Census records have been added.
17-Jun-09:
Changes
were
made
to
the
Tangley
Tree on the PhGedView web site, following the acquisition by
Shelagh Lovelock of a copy of the marriage certificate for Henry
William Lovelock and Ada Stringle (in 1902). This declares Henry
William's father to be William Lovelock, whereas the Tangley Tree
previously showed him erroneously as the son of John
and
Emma
Lovelock (I89 and I92).
Consequently, Graham Lovelock removed Ada Stringle and her 10 children
from the Tangley Tree gedcom file on PGV, as well as the 1901 and 1911
Census extracts which included her.
Shelagh also acquired a copy of the birth certificate for John and
Emma's son, which identifies his mother as Emma
Bance (I92).
The husband of John and Emma's daughter Pamela
Mary (I97) has been identified as Frederick
Edmund
D
Messer (I98). Their two sons Frederick
John (I3840) and Harry
Dunford (I3841) have been added. GRO references have been included
and the 1911 Census entry for the family has been added.

George and Kezia.

Graham
Lovelock
made
a
change
to

Dowdeswell
tree on the PhpGedView site, to correct a mistake pointed out by
Shelagh Lovelock:
We had I482 as Adelaide Helena Lovelock, born in the Islington RD in
1904, but Adelaide is actually a part of the Tangley, Hants, tree.
Graham had confused her with Helena
May
LOVELOCK born in the Camberwell RD in 1905
Her husband (I483) has obviously changed his identity as well, and has
been idenitifed as Hugh
JONES. The three children of the family that had been indicated
have been removed.
