RABINDRANATH TAGORE

Rabindranath Tagore was born 161 years ago in Bengal.
Visionnary, painter, revolutionary, educationalist, writer but above all Poet, he is respected and loved everywhere in India.
In 1913 he received the Nobel Prize and it was he who later composed India's National Anthem.
To celebrate his anniversary, the Flora Devi Company have composed this tribute to the great poet.
Through Odissi dance, mime and the gentle beguiling voice of Flora Devi,
the dancers bring to life the magnificent poetry and songs of 'Gurudev'.
