Caverne du dragon (16 km) : this underground fortress of the war 1914-1918 has a terrible history. The museum remind you the terrible battles which occurs on this place during the second world war. Vauclair abbey (20 km): in the heart of Vauclair forest, you will discover the rests of this cistercian abbey and its garden with medicinal plants. Possible trek from the abbey (3h00). Ailette Center Parc : at only 15 min from the cottage. Beautiful nature, adventurous sporting activities and a comfortable private cottage. Mediaeval town of Laon (15 km), old town and the cathedral. The fortified churchs in Thiérache (50 to 70 km), many churches from XII and XIII century which have been fortified in XVII century to protect from spanish Circus, accrobats, theater. Recreation area of Axo'Plage : 5 min walk (Monampteuil lake) : spread on 40 hectares. Sand beach, bathing under control (free acess in low season).
