PrésentationPresentation

My name is Sébastien Le clec'h, I am 26 years old and I am native of Marseille a french city in the south of France, on the mediterranean coast.

I started my PhD in October 2014 in the "Laboratoire des Sciences du Climat et de l'Environnement" (LSCE) with CFR scholarship awarded by the "Commissariat à l'Energie Atomique et aux énergies alternatives" (CEA) . I am now based in Paris (FRANCE).

My topic of study is: "Sensitivity and feedbacks associated with ice sheets in the face of past and future climate change" directed by Sylvie Charbit (CEA) and Masa Kageyama (CNRS)

.

In 2014 I obtained a Master's (BAC +5) Research in Oceanography specialty "Physical and biogeochemical oceanography" at the University Aix Marseille - Phyteas Institute

This master gives me the necessary skills for handling and optimizing the model representing the interaction Ocean - Atmosphere. I have a detailed knowledge of the cycling of nitrogen, carbon, phosphorus and trace elements in the ocean. My training also allows me to have the keys to understand ocean biogeochemical processes. I have a great interest and deep knowledge of the ocean interaction - Atmosphere - Continent in the context of climate change.

This is the context in which to validate my master I did an internship in the laboratoire d'Environnements et Paléoenvironnements Océaniques et Continentaux (EPOC) based in Bordeaux (FRANCE) under the responsibility of Didier Swingedouw (CNRS). The topic of my internship was: "Impact of a fresh water stream over the North Atlantic: Comparing models - sedimentary data during Heinrich events".

I have been working on different models as AGRIFF-ROMS, IPSL, ECO3M, NEMO. I handle the Fortran90 language, R, Matlab, Linux / Unix, Ferret, Python, Latex, HTML, and my interest in the computer world allows me to quickly acquire the foundation for understanding and manipulating new language programming.

In 2012 I obtained a degree in Science from the sea and the environment option Biogeochemistry at the University Aix-Marseille at the "Centre d'oceanologie de Marseille"(now Phyteas Institute). This degree gives me the general skills in physical oceanography, biological, chemical and biogeochemical.
