I first encountered THE BLUE NILE with one song "Regret", it suggested a curious impression of fragility.

In fact, the feelings it engendered in me were “weird” and yet I loved it.

Later, I encountered another song "Headlights on the parade". It was not at all similar, the production was very ambitious and original,

I still loved it !

Later, I've bought the CD "Hats" at a record fair (London 1992) … It was like all the stars above us, absolutely superb...

... and it still sounds the same way today.

J’ai découvert THE BLUE NILE sur une compilation de groupes écossais avec une chanson "Regret",

ce titre dégageait une fragilité & une réelle émotion avec juste un piano & une voix,

plus une nappe de cordes mixée en arrière. En fait, j’avais une impression bizarre mais j’aimais bien ...

Plus tard, j'ai acheté un CD single "Headlights on the parade", ce n'était pas la même chose

car les arrangements étaient sophistiqués et originaux.

L'émotion et la fragilité étaient par contre toujours présentes.

En 1992 au cours d'une convention à London, j'ai découvert "Hats" leur deuxième album,

cela a été une révélation devant la beauté des chansons et la magie des arrangements musicaux.

Avec seulement quatre albums en 30 ans, THE BLUE NILEest devenu une passion quasi obsessionnelle

mais tellement gratifiante.
