Bonne lecture!

Drink and Drive poem (read on Etni)
-----------------------------
Near to the door
he paused to stand
as he took his class ring
off her hand
all who were watching
did not speak
as a silent tear
ran down his cheek
and through his mind
the memories ran
of the moments they walked
and ran in the sand hand and hand
but now her eyes were so terribly cold
for he would never again
have her to hold
they watched in silence
as he bent near
and whispered the words......
"I LOVE YOU" in her ear
he touched her face and started to cry
as he put on his ring and wanted to die
and just then the wind began to blow
as they lowered her casket
into the snow....
this is what happens
to man alive.....
when friends let friends....
drink and drive.
[ civilisation: drink and drive, school rings; grammaire: les temps "were wathcing, V+ed, would.]

Bringing the Greenhouse Effect Down to Earth (The Classroom Flyer 01/18/01)
-----------------------------
http://sln.fi.edu/tfi/activity/earth/earth-4.html
Geared to students in grades 9-12; this experiment delves
into problems with car emissions by proving their effects
in a lab exercise. The procedure is challenging enough for
a high school science fair exhibit, especially with some
thought on alternative methods of fuel, and certainly the
focus is quite topical.

Top 20: Most Popular Downloads of the Year 2000 (The Scout Report --January 19)
-----------------------------
http://www.zdnet.com/downloads/top20/2000.html
This handy list from ZDNet details the 20 most-downloaded Windows
programs of the year, with descriptions, system requirements, and
ratings (though all have received five stars). The majority are
useful utilities or Internet tools, so readers are encouraged to take
a look. There are also a few surprises. Napster, for instance, barely
squeaks in at number 20, and I was surprised by number 1 (you'll have
to look for yourself). [MD]
