Anacamptis
morio is wide-spread and quite common in France.
This is a rather thickset flower displaying varying colours from red to purple. Sepals show very visible green nervures, useful to easily identify it. The lip bears purple spots quite visible contrasting with the white basal part.br> Hypochrome specimens are frequent and sometimes specimens with totally white flowers can be found.br> Flowering season from April to May.
