ANOMALIES, LUSUS |
From time to time, plants with abnormal colours or shape are found. These anomalies could be genetically determined or not. Aberrant specimens are often named lusus particularly when anomalies have a genetic origin.
- Colour anomalies can come from a reduced or absent pigment production (hypochromia or albinism) or, conversely but more rarely, from an increase of pigment production (hyperchromia) : |

- Many types of shape anomalies can be found, sometimes surprising, these aberrations can make species determination more difficult : |
