Stairwell

- Stained glass.

The stairwell is the most intriguing location of this strange block of flats full of contrast & singularities. Narrow & gloomy, with murals & vegetal graphic patterns running from brown (the main colour employed here) to a dark green, it provides an alarming feeling. The stained glass design is very sober compared to the complex figures used in the square Rapp. The doors leading to the flats have the same lizard as the main entrance (some have been repeatedly stolen) & are as curved as the wall (a great demonstration of craftsmanship) ; on the upper floor, an additional door leads to a terrace.

- A gloomy atmosphere.

- A view of the stairs & of the elevator.

- Nice stone work.

- Detail of the murals.

- Here again we can see sexual ornaments.

- Vegetal patterns.

- Stained glass in the staircase.
