This French architect was one of the pillars of the Art Nouveau in France, & presumably the 1st one to adopt completely its principles in France. He xas able to develop a very personal & innovative ornamental langage through an incredible variety of creations such as middle-class villas, blocks of flats, concert halls or his famous entries for the parisian Métropolitain which are his currently most-renowed work. His best remaining work is probably the Castel Béranger, which I propose you to discover through a little personal collection of photographs. Guimard's unique personality & oeuvre make him a major architect we must not delay to discover again !
