Track usage

All tracks can be used both ways by any type of train. You can, for instance, exit the station with a TER (local commuter) on the M1 main input track, signals will prevent any other train to use this track to enter the station.

However, the usage of tracks in a normal situation is as follows:

Interconnection area

The interconnection area allows to create links between all other station areas.

There are many possible combinations, but here is some important information to remember:

1.    All platform tracks A-N, 3, 5, 7, 9 can be connected to at least one Miramas I/O track and one Vintimille I/O track. Thus, it's possible to go from any platform to any destination and, reciprocally, come to any platform from any direction.

2.    Tracks 3, 5, 7, 9 can be connected with I/O tracks F circ to V2.

3.    Tracks A, B can be connected with all I/O tracks G to V2.

4.    Tracks C, D, E can be connected with I/O tracks G to V2bis.

5.    Tracks F, G, H can be connected with I/O tracks F circ to V2bis.

6.    Track I can be connected with I/O tracks F circ to V1bis and has a privileged access to F circ.

7.    Tracks J, K, L, M, N can be connected with I/O tracks G to V1bis and have a privileged access to F circ.

Last but not least, the station has two very important cross links:

The first one goes from track A to the North West depot and allows:

1.    To drive a train from tracks A-E to the depot (or the other way).

2.    For the departure, to switch between all tracks from A to E.

3.    For the arrival, to switch between all tracks from E to A.

The second one goes from track F circ to the South East depot and allows:

1.    To drive a train from tracks F circ, M2, M1, E circ to the depot (or the other way).

2.    For the departure, to switch between all tracks from E circ to F circ.

3.    For the arrival, to switch between all tracks from F circ to E circ.
