Video characteristics The maximal resolution is 352 X 288 pixels (PAL) with 25 frames per second or 352 X 240 (NTSC) with 29,97 frames per second. 

The capacity of CD-R is approximately 70 mn of video MPEG1 (1.152Mbps)

The standard resolution is 480 X 576 (PAL) with 25 frames per second or 480 X 480 (NTSC) with 29,97 frames per second. 

The capacity of CD-R is approximately 30 mm of video MPEG 2 (2.5Mbps)

Comments The use of a good codec MPEG 1 is still more significant than the resolution. 

As the video images change constantly, the device cannot always perceive the errors.

Supervideo-CD (SVCD) is a technological improvement of the video-CD. 

The SVCD are also as specified CD-R VCD.

Many DVD players can also read SVCD. You can consult VCDHelp.com to verify if your DVD player can read SVCD
