The
technological evolution in audio saw the disappearance of vinyl discs and
turntables.
The recording
on cassettes allowed continuing the listening of our former titles.
Today the
CD format and especially MP3 file lead us to of CD-R MP3 realization.
This evolution
became necessary for audio quality obtained, the perennially and the great
capacity of the support. |

MP3 transfers
work process |
What
we have in the analogical format should be transferred to the digital format.
That is
true for our old 45 and/or 33 audio turns vinyl and our audio cassettes.
The selected
format is the MP3 and the support CD-R. The reading will be done on a DVD
player connected to the hi-fi system.
In term
of capacity CD-R MP3 is widely superior because we have for one title of
3 or 4 minutes:
-
4 titles for
one 45 turns vinyl
-
30 titles for
a recorded audio cassette
-
20 titles on
audio CD· 200 to 250 titles on CD-R MP3
|
 |
|
|
 |
It
is necessary to connect the hi-fi system to the computer thought an entry
"line in".
To record
we will use the module Nero Wave Editor provided with NERO 5.5 :
-
The recordings
are carried out in 16 bits with 44,1 KHZ and 128 Kps (kilobits by second)
in MP3.
It is this
format which offers a sufficient quality near to that of audio CD.
It is also
necessary to arrange entry and exit for each file.
|
|
 |
Before
burning CD MP3 we must initially record the files and standardize them
to have a homogeneous level of volume.
For that
we will use the function to normalize of Nero Wave Editor.
The saving
must be done with MP3 format for a compilation on CD-R or with wav format
to realize an audio CD.
Before burning,
it is recommended to check the musical level and quality with Winamp for
example. |

For
DVD players, MP3 is often not taken into account. Thus before acquiring
DVD player, it is important to know that MP3 mention is not sufficient
for correct use.
You must
check the following points :
-
The sampling
rate
In general
this frequency is 44,1 Khz. What implies imperatively encoding MP3 at this
frequency
-
The bitrate
The majority
of players accepts bitrate between 32 to 320 kbps. In order to obtain with
MP3 quality nearest to audio CD, the encoding must be at 44,1 Khz, 128
kbps, stereo
-
The random
function
When MP3
CD contains up to 254 files it is important to be able to use this function.
-
Reading of
all MP3 files
Some DVD
players read only one certain number of files for example the 175 first
out of 208. Documentation and data of the manufacturer do not provide this
information. To ensure that DVD player should be tested
-
Files inside
folders
If your
MP3 CD contains one level of folder it is possible that DVD player reads
the files inside the first folder only. To avoid that, the solution consists
to burn all files without folders
