20 minutes by taxi from Jaipur, Amer is the ancient capital of Rajastan.
Ther is a forteresse and a palace. Certain scenes from the movie 'Jodha Akbar' were filmed there.

In the Kawa Cultural Center, there is a beautiful Dance / Music studio which is also used as a theatre.
the owner is the famous musician Hameed Khan.
Facing the Center, on the top of the hill, there is a tiny Shiva Temple.
Evenings,if you climb up, you will see a wonderful sunset.
