I'll be very honest with you, I have quite a few other photos that are just as good but this place is absolutely marvellous ! I must have taken over 100 pictures in 48 hours...and I scanned them straight when I came home (I'd just got the scanner), that's why there's still quite a few here !

Loads of driving around and going to and fro with the boats, so don't get confused, pictures ARE in chronological order.

    That's the view from the hotel room, my first morning in Argegno.

   Lake seen from above Cernobbio, coming from Monte Bisbino.       

   Which one is that ? Faggeto maybe ? It's lovely all the same !

   Looking North towards the Alps from Lenno or somewhere near...

   A disused villa at the entrance of Tremezzo. Or perhaps the lucky owners were just on holidays ?

   Looking South from the very North end of the Lake.

   View towards the North shore of the Lake and the Alps, from Colico possibly.

    The sun shines on its representation in Bellano.                        The nice promenade in Varenna.

   It's not too bad  in Menaggio the next morning either.

   Going to Bellagio with the boat........            .......from Cadenabbia.              

   In Bellagio.                      Villa Carlotta in Tremezzo, you can moor here.

   It's called Villa del Balbianello...                  Nice, innit ?     

    ...and the terrace suits me fine.  

 

    Villa Serbelloni in Bellagio is now a Hotel.

   Bang in the middle of the Lake, between Cadenabbia and Varenna.

    Varenna from the boat.          A little street going down towards the lake.
