Before the creation of one video CD, we should be in ownership of digital images. 

For it we shall use: 

  • a digital camera for the new photos. 
  • A scanner for the old existing photos on paper edition. 
For a better result of video CD, we shall look for: 
  • a resolution of 300 dpi images in the size landscape 
  • Save in JPEG size on the hard disk of the computer

Video CD with NERO 5.5
The easiest and the surest to realize one video CD with Nero 5.5 is to use the NERO wizard. 

So it is necessary to choose: compile a new CD, 0ther CD formats, Video CD and Finish. 

Click on the desired files in the File Browser with the mouse and then drag them into the  list in the bottom part of the window.

To execute a slideshow it is then necessary on every photo to indicate the number of seconds for the time for pause.

A practical option to archive also your photos on the CD is to mark  : store source pictures in "PICTURES".
Video CD burned on the CD-R Kodak Ultima are without problem with the Toshiba SD-210 E. The navigation with thumbnails is very simple and slide shows are executed well. 

It is necessary to note that video CD is not multi-session. So it is not possible to add of new photos on one video CD already burned. 

The use od CD-RW is not recommanded

Compared to Nero the advantages are as follows: 

  • More significant capacity (99 times more!) 
  • Easy to do slide shows, menu templates and burning 
  • No problems to share slide show on TV even with CD-RW
